Chrysler to Sell Electric Cars in U.S. as Early as 2010

Chrysler has announced that it is working on an electric powered version of its Voyager MPV, which could be put into commercial production as early as 2010. The model will most likely be based on the ecoVoyager concept (pictured), first seen at this years Detroit Motor Show. Details are limited at this stage, but it seems that the zero-emission car will have a 300-mile range - pretty impressive for an MPV capable of carrying an entire family and their luggage. 1. Electric powered and will have a 300 mile range ? That's great news. This range could be improved with solar panels that recharge the battery automatically (at least when you drive on light).

  4. This car looks pretty ugly. I don't think that I will chose this one when the gasoline will be way to expensive.....

  5. Well, it's totally happening. The electric car is gradually coming in. Have you seen the Tesla roadster? Can't believe it has a faster 0-60 than a Ferrari but is electric. All it will really take is for the marketing to make electric cars seem sexy enough, and people will be ready to switch from gasoline...
